272/365 self reflection

when you have to do laundry and other such tasks you aren’t used to, it gives you time to reflect. Especially when you have a pretty red washing machine with chrome dials.

271/365 billy goat hill

since I slept until 6pm today (long story) I figured it was the perfect time to scoot over to check out the view from Billy Goat Hill at the far end of Noe Valley. It’s funny, as much as everyone says they love Noe Valley, it feels so suburban and I couldn’t imagine living there. Quiet, lots of houses, lots of hills. Maybe in a couple of years, but enjoying living the city life right now. That said, Noe and Billy Goat Hill are of course very much part of the 7×7.

269/365 day 1000

who would’ve guessed. 1000 days after starting my first day of my first 365 project, I’m still at it. Not a single day missed. Yay me. And who would’ve guessed that after multiple brainstorming sessions trying to figure out the right to commemorate this momentous occasion, the answer was right behind me the whole time. Go back to picture 001, 999 pictures ago. The bottle of Courvoisier cognac that someone gave to us that day has hardly been touched but has made the journey with us. So I celebrate the cognac (but I refuse to drink it), and here’s to the future and perhaps a day 2000?

268/365 lombard street

made a dash over to try to grab a blue hour shot of Lombard St this evening but couldn’t find parking and then couldn’t find a way up high enough to see any more than the first curve. When I finally made it, it was too late… Will have to come back again sometime, better prepared.

267/365 palace of fine arts

well, I’m holding out. I actually like another picture I took of this place better, but since I am trying to resurrect my other page, I’ll post it there. I had to figure out a new way to use my tripod to take this picture though, which was a bit of a challenge. Thinking back now, I wish I had of waiting 30 minutes to take it. This is under the dome.
