213/366 first time voting

been of voting age for some years now but hadn’t been in America to actually vote for most of them. Tried to do an absentee ballot once and it didn’t work out and turned me off to voting. But today they were voting for some traffic referendum to fix the horrible mess that Atlanta is in and is only getting worse. Also voting on Sunday alcohol sales (what, are we still living in 1915? How can selling alcohol on Sunday still be illegal in GA?). Anyway, the whole process was quite anticlimactic so I figured I’d at least get a decent picture out of it but that dude in the black, he wasn’t very friendly and kept checking out what I was up to… Guess he knew I was a rookie…

if that is what it says, then that is what will happen.

211/366 car wash

usually Nyla is most responsible for making the car dirty, so she volunteered today to help make the car clean. She did a fantastic job too, getting every last spot (that she could reach) on the outside squeaky clean. She had her serious game face on the entire time too.

we took a Coke team field trip to Serenbe. That place is fantastic, but it was way too hot today and the stroller we brought was not an off road one, so we couldn’t hang out as long as we planned. Anyway, Something cool yet spooky about the light in this shot.

209/366 i can swim!

now that Nyla has graduated from ISR swimming school, she can fall into a pool and properly save herself. Kylie too. But she didn’t really enjoy it. Today, it took a bit of prodding but she finally will now jump in the pool and swim to Mommy or Daddy or the steps or the ladder underwater. We are very proud of her!

208/366 too early

i have a tendency to be early. And I hate it when people are late. Today, I was too early. Got to the soccer field and it was 95 degrees and sunny and the place was still locked. So I waited. And was so hot and tired by the time the game started I was only at like half speed. Luckily, that was enough. We won 5-1.

back to more training sessions again. This is now country / number 6 but for the first time my travel schedule was a 5 minute walk from my desk to the meeting room. Not bad. Although I prefer to get some cool travel out of it, it was great to work with the US team for a change.
