its all over. back at home in Atlanta today after 2 weeks of travel and a week and a half of vacation in Berlin and Paris. There’s no place like home and glad to be back but sad it is over. The one odd thing about this trip – I don’t really lose things. Never lost my wallet or keys or anything. But somehow on this trip I lost my favorite shirt/jacket that I have had for 10 years, one of Nyla’s shoes, (one of) my joby tripods, half of our picnic lunch, and I don’t even know what else. Oh well. We still managed to lug around all this luggage for 2.5 people. Now to unpack and get ready for a tough July 4th tomorrow…

yes, the weather has been magnifique our entire time in Paris. Totally lucked out. Didn’t take many pictures today but did ride the boat (batobus) which was cool and checked out Printemps – which is where I took this shot from the rooftop cafe – awesome place. I also realized how important the Eiffel Tower is to Paris and my image of Paris, which explains why most of my Paris pictures are of it. Anyway, we leave tomorrow – sorry to say goodbye but all good things… And speaking of endings and beginnings, this shot marks the start of the second half of my 365. Only 182 more shots to go…

this photo marks the end of the first half of my 365. Fitting that it is a night cityscape shot, as these always seem to be my favorite – and even more fitting that it is not in America as it seems like half of this first part of 2011 has been spent somewhere else…! Anyway, I don’t think this photo needs any explanation – the Eiffel Tower in Paris France. Spent pretty much most of the day here starting with a picnic at lunch on the grass underneath and ending with the lights all on and the sky a deep dark blue. It really is an amazing structure, and an even more amazing job of city planning around it. Anyway, tomorrow marks the first day of Part II of my 365, let’s see how we mark that one…
